About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux System Administrator with a solid background in networking and storage to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure team in the semiconductor industry. The role requires hands-on expertise in managing complex Linux environments, optimising system performance, and ensuring infrastructure security and stability.
Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in production environments.
- Manage and support storage systems (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, SAN, NAS) tailored for EDA tools and semiconductor workloads.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for storage provisioning, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Administer IP networks, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNS, and routing for both on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across infrastructure layers.
- Automate system tasks using Bash, Perl, or Python.
- Perform performance tuning, log analysis, and environment testing.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance through proper patching, user access control, and vulnerability management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 8+ years of Linux system administration experience.
- Expertise in RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or SUSE distributions.
- Strong knowledge of NetApp, EMC, LVM, ZFS, or equivalent storage technologies.
- Advanced understanding of IP networking, firewalls, routing protocols, and VLAN configuration.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
- Experience supporting databases (Mysql, Postgresql, MongoDB, Oracle) in Linux-based systems.
- Experience in data centres or high-performance computing environments, especially for EDA tools.
- Proficient in Linux security hardening, SELinux, and compliance practices.
