Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Lead Engineer to support a critical 6-month research and development project. This role involves developing innovative AI solutions capable of consolidating and synthesizing real-time data, providing users with context-aware summaries to improve operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced Generative AI models, including Large Language Models, for real-time data integration and summarization.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, software engineers, domain experts, and stakeholders, to ensure the alignment of AI solutions with operational needs.
Develop and validate prototypes that demonstrate effective data consolidation, synthesis, and actionable insights generation.
Oversee secure and scalable software architecture design, ensuring compatibility and integration with existing systems and third-party platforms.
Prepare and present technical documentation and progress reports to support project milestones and deliverables.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members, promoting an environment of innovation and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.
5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML systems development, specifically focused on real-time data processing and summarization.
Proven expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI technologies, and related frameworks such as GPT-4.
Strong experience in secure system integration and deployment within regulated or sensitive environments.
Track record of successfully leading and executing AI/ML projects.

Technology Stack Requirements:

Proficiency in Python, including libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and related AI/ML services.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong knowledge of data processing technologies (Apache Kafka, Spark, or Hadoop).
Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data storage solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with training environments and readiness/performance optimization scenarios.
Experience with Synthetic Training Environments (STE) and advanced visualization systems.
Prior experience or familiarity with defense or similar operational environments.
