Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience to leverage data to empower the business, drive customer success, and maximize impact. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in the company in advancing our data analytics and business insights prowess. You will work with stakeholders from across the company, including Customer Experience, Finance, Customer Success, Legal, etc. to ensure they have the dashboards and reports needed to drive maximum value to our customers and the company. You will partner with data engineering to create a data model in Snowflake to support dashboards and reports in Power BI which will generate actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. You will also work alongside Technical and Strategic Account Managers to exceed the reporting and dashboarding needs of our customers.
Job Duties:
- Work with the Technical Account Management and Strategic Account Management teams to develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize key metrics and performance metrics in support of our clients.
- Work closely with data engineering to build out the appropriate Presentation Layer in Snowflake to support the various Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from the data warehouse Raw Layer and relational databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, sales, legal) to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
- Plan, execute, and analyze AB test experiments to establish causal relationships.
- Identify opportunities to improve data processes, enhance data quality, and automate reporting workflows.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics and SaaS metrics.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
- Advanced expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau or Looker.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights.
- Ability to collaborate with partners to document key business needs into a clearly defined requirements for dashboards and reports.
- Self-starter. Comfortable helping to drive change and working with ambiguity.
- Highly organized, focused, and results-driven, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent experience.
