Job description

 

We are seeking a casual Research Program Coordinator who will support the Meatless Monday Sustainable Diets Focus Area at the Center for a Livable Future on several projects related to Meatless Monday and associated meat reduction food choices and motivations, and other related food systems topics. Our work in this area is focused on encouraging people to refrain from eating meat one day a week as a way to improve not only individual health, but also the health of the planet by reducing the environmental burden associated with meat production. The Research Program Coordinator will be supervised by the focus area lead and will work directly with senior staff and faculty on various projects.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supporting analyses and development of translational materials related to Meatless Monday and associated meat reduction food choices and motivations.
  • Drafting reports, policy briefs or other translational materials in support of Meatless Monday.
  • Conducting literature reviews, data analysis, summarizing research articles, identifying key themes, and writing and formatting for journal submission.
  • Provide administrative and coordination assistance for the Meatless Monday team and other CLF projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Self-starter with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to be task oriented, willingness to get clarification when needed, ability to close the loop on project, and follow up when responses needed.
  • Strong verbal and excellent writing and analysis skills.
  • Able to work independently and in teams.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in related field
  • Relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of the Meatless Monday initiative.
  • Working knowledge of STATA or SAS and experience with EndNote or RefWorks.
  • Familiarity with literature reviews, policy analyses, and/or qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Some related experience and /or training related to nutrition and sustainability and knowledge of food systems and public health.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
