Job description

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

As a member of the Enrollment team, the Enrollment Practice Leader is a strategic, consultative partner for our distribution teams and their brokers, responsible for driving excellence with client level enrollment approaches in their designated Regional Group Offices (RGOs). They will be the key partner to Distribution to work directly with brokers and planholders to elicit a client’s enrollment needs, curate a strategy leveraging Guardian capabilities and partnerships and ensure optimal fulfillment and ultimately client satisfaction. With this focus, this role is growth oriented with a bias for positive problem solving and creative solutions. This role is responsible for understanding the components of a successful, modern enrollment including technology, partner firms and communication best practices, and at times partner with Guardian’s practice leads and vendor managers. 

 

You Will: 

 

Sales Support and Positioning  

  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships amongst all members of your territory Sales Teams. 

  • Lead presentations to Guardian sales and account teams to ensure understanding and adoption of enrollment & engagement capabilities. 

  • Along with Sales partners, present to brokers & strategic partners Guardian’s market-leading enrollment capabilities. 

  • Help win business by participating as subject matter expert in finalist meetings. 

  • Provide strategic thinking in developing new go to market offers to drive participation and customer satisfaction. 

 

Case Level Enrollment Strategy  

  • Expert in enrollment practices and how they are intended to engage and educate employees in making benefits decisions. This includes: 

  • Guardian’s solutions such as Voluntary Works 

  • Enrollment Firms 

  • Benefits Administration Platforms 

  • Decision Support (1:1s, group meetings, digital tools) 

  • Communication Mediums 

  • General understanding of enrollment practices used by Guardian’s competitors and related markets and how our options compare. 

  • Expertise and ability to create a tailored enrollment strategy inclusive of engagement, education and election using proven tools that takes into consideration key variables for any client including, but not limited to: 

  • Industry 

  • Technology in use or needed – both benefit administration and decision support offerings 

  • Communication norms for client 

  • Regional partnerships 

  • Client demographics such as size segment, employee ages, income levels, gender breakouts 

  • Strong and demonstrated ability to balance cost of enrollment services against projected premium and participation results to ensure enrollment success. 

 

RGO Level Enrollment Reporting  

  • Work with partners in Enrollment Operations and Finance, provide monthly results review and consultation to RDs and Head of Enrollment to ensure proper practices are being utilized or provide consultation on course correction as needed. 

 

You Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 

  • 5+ years’ experience in enrollment or voluntary benefits 

  • Proven success in a sales-oriented environment 

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships & partnerships quickly. 

  • Strong collaboration skills: a proven ability to partner within a highly matrixed environment to achieve results. 

  • Articulate and comfortable presenting to senior level decision makers 

  • Develop and report on detailed operational metrics & drive successful outcomes. 

  • Solution oriented and strong negotiator – assertive yet diplomatic 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities including tactical and strategic initiatives. 

 

Reporting Relationships: 

 

As an Enrollment Practice Leader, you will report to the Enrollment Strategy Leader, who reports to our Head of Enrollment. 

 

Location 

  • Preferred location is our Atlanta Regional Office (Alpharetta, GA)

  • Will consider other locations in the Southeast U.S.

 

Travel 

  • Travel to Guardian Office Location(s) as needed, may visit field offices, or attend broker/finalist meetings as needed. Approximately 25% travel in this position. 

Salary Range:

$96,960.00 - $159,300.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
