Our client is a funded startup currently in its pre-launch phase, focused on transforming the post-purchase experience for online shoppers. They're building an innovative mobile and web platform designed to help users track every return and refund across all retailers through a centralized dashboard. The mission is simple but powerful: to make the return and refund process radically simpler and more transparent. As they prepare for launch, they’re growing their team thoughtfully and are looking for a Senior Python Developer to help bring this vision to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

Build and maintain product features across mobile, web, and backend systems
Take ownership of technical decisions and help evolve our architecture as the platform scales
Translate product goals and ambiguous inputs into clear, actionable engineering plans
Write, review, and document code with an emphasis on clarity, maintainability, and resilience
Define or improve core engineering processes — CI/CD, testing, documentation, code review
Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, shape, and deliver features
Proactively surface risks, needs, and blockers before they become bottlenecks

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of experience developing production-grade software, with a strong track record across the stack
Proficiency with modern web and mobile technologies — JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, and Node.js are especially valued
Experience working with cloud platforms — ideally GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Vertex), but AWS or similar is fine
Fluency in Python and familiarity with modern GenAI tooling (e.g. LangChain, OpenAI APIs, etc.) — we build AI-native workflows into the product, not around it
Experience building and evolving CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and systems for long-term maintainability
Strong architectural instincts to design for current velocity without creating future bottlenecks
Clear and direct communicator who leads by doing, not just directing from the sidelines
Comfortable working independently in fast-moving, low-structure environments while collaborating across distributed teams
