Overview: Support the USPTO’s Digital Media Services (DMS) division by designing, developing, and producing interactive, 508-compliant eLearning content, including CBTs, WBTs, games, quizzes, and multimedia-rich instructional materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop asynchronous eLearning content using Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
Collaborate with government SMEs to storyboard, script, and visually enhance instructional content.
Ensure instructional integrity and quality through systematic design and review of content.
Produce gamified modules, interactive quizzes, knowledge checks, simulations, and 3D media assets.
Conduct quality reviews, usability testing, and file management of digital training products.
Adhere to USPTO’s Visual Brand Identity Guide, Writing Style Guide, and Section 508 compliance standards.
Required Qualifications:
Prior eLearning development experience for USPTO or similar federal agencies.
Expertise in using Adobe Premier Pro, Illustrator, Audition, Photoshop, SnagIt, and Camtasia.
Proven ability to develop engaging content for technical and administrative training topics.
Strong knowledge of SCORM compliance and LMS integration.
Experience working with DMS for video/audio scripting, editing, and production.
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field
Preferred: Master’s degree in Instructional Design or Human-Centered Learning
Experience:
Required: Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing and developing eLearning solutions for federal or commercial clients
USPTO-specific: Experience using USPTO-authorized tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Suite, etc.) and adhering to Section 508 and USPTO branding/style guides
Bonus: Experience developing SCORM-compliant content hosted on USPTO or similar federal LMS platforms
