Senior Accountant (Hybrid: 4 days HO)

As a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (M/F/D), you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, preparing financial reports, and managing payment processes. You will work closely with the Sub-Regional Controller, act as a backup for certain regional controller responsibilities, and provide essential financial insights that drive business success.

LOCATION: Tlumačov, Czech Republic (hybrid model)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure local compliance with VAT regulations and statutory financial statements for multiple countries.
• Prepare and manage cash flow reports, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning.
• Oversee payment processes, including T&E (Travel & Expense) and Concur controls for Dura-Line Europe.
• Handle relevant transactions within the principal-agent model for European operations.
• Act as a backup for the regional controller, supporting financial oversight and decision-making.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience as a senior accountant, with expertise in VAT and income tax areas.
• Strong knowledge of Czech GAAP, with exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Experience with SOX compliance or equivalent internal controls (highly appreciated).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/MS Office and familiarity with SAP R3 (FI/CO) (advantageous).
• Fluency in both Czech and English (spoken and written). German and/or Polish is an advantage.
