Ameresco has an immediate opening for a Senior Business Developer, you will build trust and rapport with clients, leading to upsell opportunities and retention. You will use a question-based selling approach, trained to listen to challenges and offer tailored recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Assemble and update facilities management, asset management, capital planning, energy planning and related news and industry trends for incorporation into business offerings;

Identify, detail, support and attend / participate in local and regional client meetings (virtual and in person);

Perform market assessments to identify competitive landscape, activity level, and business potential.  Secure, analyze, and summarize competitive data to better position our offerings;

Become a subject matter expert on our software platform to provide value and insight to current clients, resulting in retention and upsell opportunities;

Partner with Business Development to produce marketing and presentation materials for customer meetings, seminars, and conferences;

Assist with development of internal client database and catalogue of past, current, and future project opportunities;

Assist with sales and development reporting, including use of the company CRM system;

Support with internal development, editing, coordination activities required to produce proposal, presentation, and collateral materials;

Assist in cultivating new avenues of proposal lead development;

Conduct phone calls to qualify clients for the Sales team;

Responsible for all inside Marketing Qualified Leads, follow up with clients and assigned to the appropriate Account Executive; and

Perform other duties as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ Years relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Software
  • Demonstrable Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Highly organized
