Job Description: Cloud DevOps Engineer (Remote, Contract, US Nearshore)

Job Title: Contract DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote – Nearshore (Latin America or Eastern Europe willing to work U.S. day time hours).

We’re looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer as a full-time contractor to join our engineering team and help scale our cloud infrastructure using the latest DevOps practices and tools. What You'll Do

Design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, with the goal of building a multi-cloud environment including Azure
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable, and secure deployments
Implement and manage serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Aurora Serverless
Use Terraform and Helm to define infrastructure as code and support container orchestration
Automate operational tasks and cloud workflows using Python scripting
Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization
Apply best practices in cloud security, compliance, and governance
Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure infrastructure is aligned with application needs
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, ensuring high system reliability

What We're Looking For

Immediate joiner with 3+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role on Cloud
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
Familiarity with Azure cloud services is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting
Proficient in Python for scripting and automation
Deep experience with Terraform, Helm, and managing Kubernetes clusters
Solid background in CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Circle CI, or Jenkins
Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Experience with secure cloud architecture and implementation of best practices in cloud security

Nice to Have

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
Other AWS or Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
Experience with cloud security certifications or practices (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, CIS Benchmarks)
Knowledge of Trade Finance or financial services is a plus
