Two to five years of experience with MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills., At least two years of experience working in a sales department., Training or experience in computer applications is required., Relevant certifications and prior CRM software experience are preferred..

Key responsabilities:

  • Provide clerical support to the sales department and maintain documents and records.
  • Prepare and pull information for sales renewals and prospects, including premium calculations and summaries.
  • Update the CRM system and ensure all items are checked off on the fast track sheet.
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.

Job Title: Sales Assistant

Essential Functions

1. Provide clerical support to the sales department

2. Type accurately, prepare and maintain documents and records

3. Pull information for sales renewals which includes: Mod, Named Insured, Payroll, Preparing Premium Calculations and Profitability, Renewal codes to Underwriting and Business Development, Starting renewal folder

4. Prepare summaries of historical loss information

5. Putting together information for prospects which includes: Starting the prospect folder, Save information in shared system, Prepare summary, Prepare premium calculation/profitability, insure all items are checked off on “fast track sheet”.

6. Updating CRM System

7. Scanning and filing

8. Send rates to appropriate/designated staff members

9. Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Work Environment/Expected Hours of Work

3. Standard Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30a-5p (37.5 Hours per week), additional hours may be worked based on business needs.

Required Education and Experience

1. Two to five years of strong MS office, must be advanced in excel

2. Two years of working with sales department.

3. Training or experience in computer applications.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Relevant certifications.

2. Prior CRM Software Experience

3. Prior work in Insurance, PEO, and/or Worker’s Compensation is a plus
