As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Tier 2-3 Cyber Security Technician to join the MSP Corp West (formerly Softlanding) team. About The Role As a Tier 2-3 Cyber Security Technician in a managed services role, you will be responsible for minimizing risk, safeguarding client environments, devices, personal information, and managing data protection strategies. Softlanding focuses on the Microsoft Security product stack, with a mindset around Zero Trust Framework and following industry standards such as NIST and CIS to minimize risk for our clients. Location: Vancouver / Calgary / Edmonton. Schedule : Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Work Mode: Hybrid What You Will Do Provide technical assistance to the Tier1 / Tier 2 resources Provide technical support & analysis, using appropriate technical tools, to ensure we collect and process the data required to provide security, privacy and data governance services (Network scans, Vulnerability Assessments, Security Awareness Training, File Classification) Perform forensic security investigations and supply suitable post incident analysis and reporting to clients Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender XDR, Purview, Sentinel toolsets Deliver Security workshops What We Are Looking For 2-4 years of experience in IT security operations, privacy, compliance, or governance roles A solid IT background with a keen interest in growing a career in security, privacy and data governance Good communication skills to explain privacy and security concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred – Microsoft Security Certification(s), CISSP, CompTIA Security+ or other industry recognized certifications Why Work at MSP Corp Competitive Salary & Benefits package Positive and Inclusive Team ethic Dynamic work environment Opportunities for growth and training Ready to make a difference?
