About The Strategy And Product Operations Manager Role
We’re looking for an outstanding Strategy and Product Operations Manager to join Float and lead a team that’s building the best business finance platform in Canada! This role’s mandate is to tackle Float's most important operational challenges, and to build workflows pertaining to new product offerings. This is done through rigorous problem solving and execution, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and third-party vendors. Our job is to simplify complexity, create structure, and put valuable company resources (people, capital, time and focus) to the most efficient use.
As The Strategy And Product Operations Manager At Float
You will be responsible for partnering with teams and leaders across the organization to deliver projects that drive meaningful and measurable value across the organization. More specifically:
Drive the growth of our products and acceleration of our speed to market.
Design, implement, and manage scalable programs to support operational excellence across multiple functions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects and drive business outcomes.
Use data and customer insights to develop strategies that address key operational challenges and create efficiencies across processes.
Lead high-impact initiatives and continuously refine programs to optimize experiences for both internal and external stakeholders.
Proactively identify risks, mitigate challenges, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Partner with team leads to turn feedback into actionable improvements and implement new tools or processes where necessary.
Skills That Would Make You Successful In This Role
You’ve got the experience. Looking for 5+ years of experience in a startup, consulting company or product lead institution.
Results-oriented. You're motivated by measurable success, setting and exceeding goals that drive customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Product acumen. You’ve launched products before and are comfortable getting scrappy with how you do it.
Client Focus. Demonstrated commitment to client-centric values, consistently championing initiatives that prioritize the client experience.
Rigorous problem solving skills. Demonstrated experience leading efforts that bring structure to ambiguity, generating critical insights, and solving hard problems in fast-paced environments
Expert stakeholder management. Ability to plan, organize and manage complex processes and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders to drive progress
A love for data & analytics. Comfort with all types of data and strong analytical skills with superior attention to detail. Experience with SQL is an asset.
Action orientation. A bias for action, the ability to act without being told what to do and to tenaciously get things done
Strong written and verbal communication. Able to speak plainly and truthfully, communicate complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way regardless of audience, and drive discussions to decisions and actions
Strong coaching and management skills. Able to lead teams, provide coaching and mentorship, and add to a strong, results-oriented culture in your teams
Bring people together. Act as a catalyst by bringing the right teams/people together within and/or across teams, creating a structure where teams can move efficiently through unprecedented or cross-functional projects.
Leads by example. Approaches the work with a no-ego attitude and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves
