Years Of Experience
2-3 years of digital design experience; 1-2 years of content strategy/design experience; prior software design and/or strategy experience preferred; graduate-level study may count toward 1-2 years of professional experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information sciences, design, journalism, industrial design, English studies, linguistics, or library science.

Previous work utilising GDS (government design system) is very desirable.

Craft
Conduct content design activities including client workshops, user interviews and creative brainstorms.
Facilitate communication across disciplines at the project and the account level to create alignment and efficiencies.
Create content and key content design deliverables (content matrices, copy decks, presentation decks).
Define content requirements based on relevant business objectives, technical information, and design considerations.
Determine information architecture and content structure at the account level (sitemaps, content models, content templates, pattern libraries).
Able to effectively content as needed for brevity, clarity and maximum impact.
Project
Support the delivery and ownership of the end-to-end content design of the experience, working in collaboration with client(s), design leads and team members.
Actively deliver content design activities at the project level, including conducting stakeholder interviews and supporting the building of consensus around the work
Comfortable with hybrid working. Every project is different, but we love our team to be in the studio and in our client’s office to work collaboratively.
Client
We work with a wide variety of clients, across different industries and sectors, however we’re currently looking for designers to work specifically on several health and government projects.
Many of our clients require background checks. You will need to complete a Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) to confirm your identity, criminal record, right to work and residency.
Work in collaboration with client teams to understand the user, business and brand.
Present thinking through appropriate methods to gain feedback and iterate your thinking.
Create quality client deliverables.
Support new business development efforts by providing expert information in pitch efforts and client meetings.
Community
Support and input into design research activities at a project level.
Attend and help in the planning of studio and community events and workshops.
Skillset
Experience in translating business and customer requirements into a compelling holistic content across different touchpoints.
Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and experience in designing to industry recognised standards.
Experience in running online and offline workshops and interviews with clients and partners to validate design decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and partners, verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of the content landscape, including but not limited to content design, content creation, content strategy, information architecture, content marketing, content management and content operations.
Understanding of human-centered design and design thinking mindset and approaches.
Knowledge of and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes.
Accustomed to working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional team members.
Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills that enable you to evaluate a creative approach, brainstorm, and seek unexpected, original and innovative ideas.
Demonstrated advanced attention to detail and sensitivity to version control issues.
Robust understanding of the production process (asset creation, specification creation, and handoff to design and development).
