Lazard is seeking an Experienced Analyst (a minimum of 10 months to 1 year of investment banking experience at the Analyst level) to join the Consumer and Retail team as an integral member of a focused group who will receive meaningful exposure to both senior bankers and client executives alike. Consumer and Retail Analysts work on a variety of strategic transactions for leading and emerging food and beverage, home and personal care, and retail and e-commerce companies. The Consumer and Retail group is based in the New York office and leads the coverage and execution of transactions for consumer and retail companies across the U.S and globally. Lazard is differentiated among the leading investment banks in our history of investing in employees and developing them into successful senior bankers, with all of the Consumer and Retail group’s Managing Directors beginning their careers as either Analysts or Associates at Lazard.
We’ll trust you to:
Build and run comprehensive financial models and conduct a wide range of financial analyses
Effectively analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information
Perform company and industry research
Assist in the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
Interact with senior bankers and clients
You’ll need to have:
One year of relevant investment banking experience with significant exposure to M&A, preferably in Consumer & Retail investment banking
Strong analytical skills with extensive training in the building of presentation materials and financial modelling
Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding standards of accuracy
High level of responsiveness with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining top quality work products
A team player mindset with an ability to work seamlessly as part of a close-knit team
Stellar interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with both deal teams and external clients
Strong ability to multi-task and manage concurrent projects and deliverables
Proven academic excellence and high degree of intellectual curiosity

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $120,000 - $125,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
