Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with functional areas within the department to understand the business case and primary objectives of new projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment on initiatives and projects.
Ability to be involved in numerous projects simultaneously and understand how to prioritize alongside supporting operational functions.
Reviews operational procedures and methods; maps current business processes; defines and analyzes business activities; identifies best practices; and recommends improvements.
Consults with users to identify, analyze, refine, and document business requirements.
Perform gap analysis and translate findings into business process and/or system requirements;
Support quality assurance reviews of operational processes and oversight.
Gather data to better forecast and optimize utilization of staff. Develop and define metrics (i.e.. productivity, quality, staffing) for department targets.

Qualifications

Knowledge of
Functional, operational, and technical requirements of assigned project(s)/business unit initiatives.
Back-office concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
General financial industry knowledge and knowledge of supported business area.
Concepts, practices, and procedures analyzing business processes. Business analytics and process improvement.
Skill in
Verbal and written communication;
Analytics and problem solving; and decision making.
Preparing various reports, summaries, surveys, and written recommendations.
Developing and maintaining project plans.
Business Analysis tools: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Requires technical and business knowledge, training, and understanding of job's requirements.
Requires a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
OR ~
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
Financial services industry experience is a definite asset.
