Summary Of Role
The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan for Whole Foods Market, along with their other respective account(s). This position will be focused on the Whole Foods Market business. The National Account Manager is responsible for creating a quarterly work plan to achieve the strategic goals set forth by their supervisor along with direct report(s) in the business area. As we continue to grow our business with Whole Foods Market, we are looking for a National Account Manager to reside in the Austin, Texas area and become a part of this vibrant consumer packaged goods community. The position will be responsible for selling and marketing all retail categories of product produced by CROPP Cooperative. This role is safety-sensitive.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plan for Whole Foods Market.
Drive collaboration with Whole Foods Market to foster deeper strategic relationship.
Create and manage revenue and expense budget.
Sell and manage promotional trade spend to expense budget
Manage key accounts profitability via item mix and direct spending.
Responsible for headquarter execution and maintenance for Whole Foods Market as assigned by Supervisor.
Create and implement strategic marketing and promotional programs for Whole Foods Market.
Study and utilize market trend data to assist in the selling process.
Execute new product launches and drive additional distribution of CROPP Cooperatives brands.
Own the sell-in process for Whole Foods Market on all new items within the CROPP Cooperatives brands.
Actively work with Category Strategy and Insights (CS&I) as well as Customer Strategy & Planning (CSP) teams to create joint business plans and on-going reviews with Whole Foods Market.
Prepare and present business reviews and category reviews within key account(s). Communicate and implement price changes as provided from CROPP management.
Manage the process for unauthorized deduction resolution.
Participate in Farm Tours, plant tours, and other related educational and marketing events.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Reside in Austin, Texas area
At least five years’ experience of retail sales and merchandising calling on Whole Foods Market.
At least three years’ experience of direct management of employees.
Current Regional Sales Manager or equivalent position calling on Whole Foods Market.
Ability to sell with analytical toolset (Panel, Nielsen/SPINS)
Proven and successful sales management track record.
Leadership skills and competencies for advancement within the cooperative.
Experienced in sales and expense budgeting and management to budget.
Knowledge and commitment to the natural/organic industry.
Excellent communication skills with external customers, peers, supervisors, and internal supporting departments.
Has a home office and is able to work remotely and independently.
Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings approximately 25% of time.
Proven integrity in life/employment and honesty in dealings with others.
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Base salary range:
$110,614 - $146,671 per year
This salary range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary range is not typical.
