THE ROLE:
The SDA plays a vital role in driving collaboration and supporting multiple leaders within the development department. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives by providing strategic guidance, streamlining execution, and uncovering new opportunities through thoughtful research and analysis. The ideal candidate is a poised, adaptable professional with a collaborative spirit, diplomatic communication style, and the ability to confidently engage across diverse teams and stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with team leadersto design and implement a comprehensive programming framework tailored to their unique focus areas
Develop and coordinate impactful educational events, including speaker engagements for synagogue and community-based audiences.
Contribute to creating educational materials supporting day school initiatives and raising awareness of the mission.
Collaborate with donors and community partners to develop meaningful, mission-driven educational programs.
Build and cultivate an internal support structure for the Community Engagement team, ensuring clear communication and alignment with chapter directors and regional leadership.
Assist in executing key community engagement strategies and support team leaders in delivering effective, high-impact programming.
Provide flexible strategic support across projects, adapting to the evolving priorities and needs of the department.
Possess the emotional maturity to engage with the Board, major donors and senior leadership within Christian churches and temples.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelors degree from an accredited university is required.
3+ years of demonstrated success in community engagement or a related field.
Ability to make inclusive decisions while balancing detail orientation with strategic thinking.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to recommend and independently execute strategic initiatives.
Experience in community organizing and program development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with volunteer leaders and various stakeholders.
High energy, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Compensation And Benefits
This exciting role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. The annual salary is $75,000-$80,000 (DOE), and the benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, 403b) with employer matching, paid Jewish and federal holidays, early Shabbat dismissal, and vacation/sick time.
