This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Support the lead litigation paralegal in all stages of personal injury cases, from intake to trial preparation.
Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, medical records requests, and settlement demands.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are updated and properly categorized.
Assist with calendaring deadlines, court appearances, depositions, and meetings.
Communicate with clients, medical providers, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.
Review and summarize medical records, bills, and insurance documentation.
Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, and hearing binders as needed.
Track case progress and help ensure compliance with litigation timelines and requirements.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a personal injury litigation setting.
Strong understanding of litigation procedures especially in personal injury, court filing requirements, and calendaring systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar).
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach with team members.
Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred, but not required if experience is substantial.
