Senior Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will play a key role in protecting cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and security of critical systems, and helping drive continuous improvements in security posture across the organization.

Our client operates in the financial services industry, empowering businesses across the U.S. to grow through innovative leasing and financing solutions. This role is vital to maintaining the trust and security required to support billions in funded assets through cutting-edge security technologies and compliance strategies.

This project focuses on building secure, compliant systems in cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring resilience against modern cyber threats.

Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.

Availability: Must be available to work with significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• BS/MS in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Security Engineer role or similar.
• Deep understanding of network, system, and application security best practices.
• Experience managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM tools, endpoint security, and VPNs.
• Proficiency in securing cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and identity management protocols.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, and GLBA.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline security and DevSecOps methodologies (preferred).
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or AWS Security (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security strategies for both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Administer and maintain security tools and platforms such as firewalls, SIEMs, and endpoint protection systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct regular security audits, access reviews, and system configuration assessments.
• Participate in incident response processes and lead post-incident analysis.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.
