Job description

Who are we?

ArrowStream is reshaping the landscape of supply chain optimization for foodservice businesses. The premier foodservice cloud platform for supply chain intelligence, we've connected over 105,000 restaurant locations to over 1,300 distribution locations, 11,000 manufacturers, and over 275 leading brands. As a Buyers Edge Platform SaaS Solution, ArrowStream customers feel empowered to make informed decisions with our secure cloud-based data management solutions including ArrowStream Central (operators), Crossbow (distributors), and ChainConnect (manufacturers). Not only are we strengthening buying decisions with our industry technology, but we're enforcing pricing accuracy, protecting supply, ensuring quality, and enhancing foodservice partnerships.

This position is remotely based, ideally in Chicago, IL, where we are headquartered. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Frontend Developer to drive and evolve the technical implementation of our company-wide UX standards. This individual will play a pivotal role in translating UX standards into consistent, scalable, and intuitive technical implementations across our platform—working closely with UX designers to ensure patterns are feasible, maintainable, and aligned with front-end best practices. You’ll lead by example—building shared components, shaping best practices, mentoring others, and ensuring consistency across applications. In addition to driving UI standards, you will also contribute directly to application development alongside the rest of the engineering team, helping to deliver high-quality user interfaces within our product architecture.

Your impact:

  • Define, implement, and maintain UI/UX standards through reusable components, robust documentation, and scalable design systems.
  • Lead the development of a shared component library to enforce visual and behavioral consistency across all applications.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to translate UX requirements into consistent, high-quality technical implementations.
  • Drive UI excellence by reviewing code, mentoring peers, and promoting best practices in accessibility, responsiveness, and performance.
  • Actively participate in an agile development lifecycle including requirements breakdown, estimation, design discussions, implementation, and continuous delivery.

About you:

  • 3+ years' experience in frontend development
  • Deep expertise in front-end frameworks (Angular strongly preferred) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of CSS methodologies, Bootstrap or similar frameworks, and scalable styling strategies (e.g., SCSS, Bootstrap).
  • Hands-on experience with component-driven development, responsive layouts, and mobile friendly design.

Don’t meet every requirement mentioned here? Studies have shown that women, communities of color and historically underrepresented talent are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Buyers Edge Platform and our subsidiary brands, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we strongly encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for this position or others with us!

What's in this for you?
