As an Okta & PAM Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting project delivery work, providing training to first line support, acting as an escalation point, speedy identity issue resolution, proactive improvements, and having a strong customer first mindset. You will be part of a globally distributed support team that provides identity stack support for projects, our employees, other technical teams and remaining stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Okta management and deep dive into our environment to produce a report on what is today and what needs to be improved.

  • Okta project driven tasks detailing the work completed for future training. 

  • Responsible for updates to SAML integrations and automation rules within Okta Identity Management system to aid continuous improvement to our onboarding/offboarding processes.

  • Be a point of escalation for the second line support team, providing high-end technical support as appropriate.

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

  • Incident/Problem/Change assessment and resolution.

  • You’ll have a flexible approach and be willing to provide cover for colleagues in other areas.

  • Setup, Management and support of IDAM and PAM technologies.

  • Break/Fix support as issues are discovered and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Proactively look for opportunities to increase team productivity.

  • Identify root cause of issues and document in RCA documents.

  • Strive to resolve all employee support interactions on first touch, whenever possible, while proactively and conscientiously balancing competing demands in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to identify potential user issues as larger system or company-wide incidents.

  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on sound engineering practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML protocols. 

  • Experience with managing user profiles, authentication, and authorization.

  • Proven background in identity and access management.

  • Experience in troubleshooting identity problems, both at the global organizational and technical levels. 

  • Experience in end-to-end troubleshooting of authentication and authorization. 

  • Knowledge of software licensing principles, and differences for different countries. 

  • Knowledge of compliance reporting.

  • Knowledge of Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure B2C, Identity Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Identity Governance and Administration, MS Office, ITIL, Service Now, Confluence and Jira.

  • Knowledge in licensing of major vendors (Microsoft, Okta, Sailpoint, Delinea, etc...). 

  • Experience in supporting auditing from vendors. 

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.

  • Strong Customer and Business focus.

  • Tenacious problem-solving abilities to see issues through to resolution.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Active Directory or Azure Active Directory certifications required.

  • Okta certifications are a valuable plus.

  • Experience with Privilege Access Management.

  • Experience with service administration portals for assigning licenses and monitoring installed software.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. 

Travel Requirements:

Position may eventually involve travel up to 25% of the time, mostly within Europe but overseas travel is expected. Most trips will include overnight travel.
