Do you want to join Hornet? We are looking for a Head of Data Analytics & AI at Hornet, starting immediately. 

In this role you will oversee big data pipelines, guide the company's AI integration/adoption, make key decisions with relevant data and analysis, and drive business value. Your Tasks

  • Lead and mentor a data and business analytics team, driving growth, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Shape and execute Hornet’s AI and analytics strategies, identifying and implementing impactful use cases across the organisation.

  • Oversee the development, integration, and optimisation of data assets, pipelines, and generative AI tools in production workflows.

  • Conduct advanced data analysis and build statistical models to deliver actionable insights for product innovation and business decisions.

  • Ensure data governance, security, and effective communication of insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Profile & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years in analytics or a related field, with management experience.

  • Proficient in leading teams, with advanced organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure effective goal alignment and execution.

  • Experience with Python/R, SQL, data modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Familiarity with AI methodologies, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and recommender systems.

  • Previously worked with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GCP, BigQuery, Firebase) or similar cloud provider.

  • Strong business acumen, innovation mindset, and ability to promote a data-driven culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in modern data manipulation libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.

  • Skilled in developing and deploying machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn to enhance user experience and engagement.

  • Working with large datasets (100+ TB).

  • Acquainted with data governance and privacy best practices.
