Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic individual to join our team as a Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in procurement processes from vendor on boarding to final vendor payment. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient procurement processes are followed.

This role requires a candidate to be proactive and patient as they are a customer service function focusing on assisting team members and external vendors with the procurement process. 

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation, Compliance and Reporting:

• Identify and evaluate potential vendors, facilitate the onboarding process and maintain updated vendor records.

• To create and manage purchase orders ensuring accurate specifications and compliance with budgetary guidelines.

• Review and confirm vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts, addressing any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with finance and vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries or issues promptly.

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, vendor communications and related documentation for audit purposes.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function and implement best practices.

• Review Vendor spend to established criteria for forecasting.

• Maintain accurate records of activities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

• Support and participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and information, as required
