Welocalize is currently seeking a Korean Metadata Specialist for a full-time position in Japan. You will be working remotely as a vendor for a leading consumer technology company, contributing to the finished products released in target markets across the globe. You will evaluate the quality of both written and spoken text for services as it relates to your area of linguistic and geographic expertise. In addition, you may also work on content review and creation for Music and TV applications. You will work cooperatively with international teams to monitor and improve the quality of client products and partner data integrations.

JOB INFORMATION:
· Location: Remote in Japan
· Full-time employment
· Start date: Immediately
· Duration: 12 months (potential for further contract extension)
· Work Hours and Shifts: 8 hours a day, a standard 40 hours. We have a set shift schedule will be assigned to: Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat, or Sun-Thu.

Responsibilities:
QA various products in by accurately following testing instructions and test cases
Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides and client-preferred checklists and glossaries
Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner
Ability to stay motivated and deliver results while working on repetitive tasks
Ability to under and prioritize task and issues quickly and efficiently
Native level language skills and cultural awareness
Drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing requirements
Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to navigate ambiguity and make informed judgment calls with information at hand
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Passion for and knowledge of the film and TV industry
About you:
Proficient in Korean
Proven ability to maintain motivation and solid focus through repetitive tasks

Sharp problem solving and analytical skills, along with ability to learn from history and prevent errors from recurring
Comfortable with navigating ambiguity to make sound judgment call
A wide-ranging and up-to-date knowledge of the local movies, TV shows, music, literature, social media platforms, cultural sensitivities and nuance
Knowledge of advanced spreadsheet and XML a plus
This position may require work outside of normal business hours, on weekends and holidays.
