Key responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable management.

  • Prepare and process payroll in compliance with Australian tax and superannuation requirements.
  • Handle BAS, GST, and PAYG reporting and ensure ATO compliance.

Min 3.5 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably supporting Australian businesses. Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, BAS, GST, and payroll requirements. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks. Experience in payroll processing, including superannuation and STP compliance. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Core responsibilities:

Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable management. Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts. Prepare and process payroll in compliance with Australian tax and superannuation requirements. Handle BAS, GST, and PAYG reporting and ensure ATO compliance. Assist with financial reporting and month-end closing activities. Maintain accurate records and support financial audits when required. Liaise with accountants, tax agents, and other financial professionals. Manage Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date financial records. Assist with cash flow management and budgeting
