Requirements

What We’re Looking For

✅ Active ASL interpreter license required -- state of Nebraska preferred (from NCDHH), but not required (we offer reimbursement for cross-licensing!)
🤟 Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
📊 Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 on both the Written and Performance assessments
🗓️ Availability for the full 2025–2026 school year
🏫 At least 2 years of experience in a school-based setting
💻 1+ year of experience providing online services preferred
🧠 Strong understanding of instructional methodologies for educating deaf and hard-of-hearing students
📝 Willingness to participate in IEP and IFSP development as needed
🧰 Ability to assist with setting up necessary equipment and materials for accessible education
🔊 Comfortable with amplification devices and assistive tech tools
🤝 Ability to maintain strong, professional relationships with students, families, and school teams
