We’re seeking a future member for our team to join as Vice President, IWM Portfolio Manager I role. Remote work offered.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for the oversight of closely held business assets that are held in fiduciary accounts where BNY is acting as trustee or in a similar capacity.
  • Oversee and monitor the activities of the closely held business asset, including but not limited to processing dividends made by the entity, oversight of the governing agreement, ensuring the proper insurance coverage is maintained, managing proxies and collection of financial statements on a regular basis.
  • Perform an annual review of each closely held business asset, incorporating knowledge in financial statement analysis, investment valuation methodologies, certain trust and fiduciary matters, corporate organizational documents and all aspects of corporate governance.
  • Complete a valuation of each asset in the annual review using generally accepted valuation methods, such as the income, market or asset-based approach.
  • Works with the sales and fiduciary teams who are proposing new business that includes a closely-held asset. Evaluates ability to accept the asset and helps determine the best plan of administration.
  • Works with various internal partners to help support the acquisition, accurate reporting and sale of assigned closely held assets. Involved in the more complex sales of assets and related legal issues.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of investment experience preferred or over 2 years of investment experience preferred for MBAs or CFAs.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
  • As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trust.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
