The account manager is responsible for managing the assigned territory through meeting and exceeding sales, and unit goals and nurturing relationship with accounts and Phenomenex product users. This position reports to the Country Sales Manager – Japan and is part of the sales team located in Tokyo and be fully remote. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct on-site customer visits to provide technical information on chromatography-related products and services. 
  • Nurture relationship with accounts and their users through both on-site and remote (phone, virtual) technical consultative advice on a regular and ongoing basis
  • Ensure that the assigned territory meets sales and unit goals, eventually gain market share against competitors and ensure sustainable growth
  • Maintain discipline in Funnel Management, which involves timely accurately updates to the CRM
  • Contribute to accurate Order and Sales forecast

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Higher education in Life Science: preferably a master’s degree, ideally a PhD, because the role involves serving researchers in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Rich hands on experience with HPLC in a wet lab setting (pharma lab, clinical lab, academia,  etc), with motivation to further deepen technical knowledge in chromatography
  • Previous customer-facing experience, specifically interacting with researchers in biologics, ideally in a sales role at an HPLC supplier
  • Eagerness to learn (technical, business, industry, Danaher Business System, English, etc)
  • Agility, resilience, and negotiation

Language requirements:

Fluent in Japanese, regardless of nationality. Proficiency in English will aid success in the role and also in career development within Danaher group in the long term, while not immediately necessary

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
Up to 75% mainly in assigned Territory. Occasional Overseas travels based on any company meetings.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Application support or technical sales role at an HPLC supplier

アカウントマネージャー(テクニカルセールスコンサルタント)は、担当地域における売上目標およびユニット目標の達成と、担当顧客およびPhenomenex製品ユーザーとの関係構築に責任を負います。このポジションは、日本のPhenomenex カントリーセールスマネージャーにレポートし、東京に拠点を置くセールスチームの一員として、完全リモート勤務(オフィス出社可。また業務上の必要により出社あり)となります。

業務内容:

  • クロマトグラフィー関連製品およびサービスに関する技術情報を提供するため顧客訪問を実施する
  • 顧客およびそのユーザーと、オンサイトおよびリモート(電話、バーチャル)による技術コンサルティングを定期的かつ継続的に実施し関係構築を図る
  • 担当地域が売上目標およびユニット目標を達成し、最終的には競合他社から市場シェアを獲得し成長を実現する
  • CRMをタイムリーかつ正確に更新するなどファネル管理における規律を維持する
  • 高い精度の売上予測に貢献する

この職務に必須となる要件は以下のとおりです:

  • ライフサイエンス分野の高等教育:製薬業界の研究者へのサポート業務が含まれるため、修士号、理想的には博士号取得が望ましい
  • ウェットラボ環境(製薬ラボ、臨床ラボ、学術機関など)におけるHPLCの豊富な実務経験(使用頻度により異なるが、概ね3〜5年)。クロマトグラフィーに関する専門知識をさらに深める意欲があること
  • 顧客対応経験、特にバイオ医薬品分野の研究者とのやり取り経験があると望ましい。
  • 学習意欲(技術、ビジネス、業界知識、ダナハービジネスシステム、英語、etc)
  • 機敏性、粘り強さ、交渉力

言語要件: 国籍に関係なく、日本語が流暢であること。英語の習熟度は、この役割での成功および長期的にはダナハーグループ内でのキャリア開発に役立ちますが、すぐに流暢な英語が必要というわけではありません。

担当地域内での出張が最大75%。社内会議等による海外出張が発生する場合があります。
