Job Description:
REMOTE (will support the Midwest & Central Regions)
*will cover evenings and or weekends on a PRN basis
The Hospice Intake Specialist/Area Admission Coordinator connects patients and families with compassionate hospice care by managing and coordinating referrals from physicians, hospitals, facilities, and community resources.
In this role, you will ensure a seamless admission process by collaborating with Elara Caring departments to gather billing and clinical pre-admission information while building strong relationships to enhance patient experiences. You’ll support families at the start of their hospice journey—explaining benefits, coordinating care, and providing education on services. Additionally, you will improve response times to referral sources and strengthen collaboration between sales and operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field (preferred but not required)
2+ years of experience in hospice, intake, or a related field
Experience in a medical office, customer service, intake, or inside sales (preferred)
