Job Description

Coronary Clinical Sales Training Specialist (Remote, Home Based)

The Coronary New Hire Sales Training Clinical Specialist has a strong background in training and education related to medical devices.  This individual may have more experience with clinical and technical expertise rather than selling skills.  The CV Sales Training Specialist will develop, implement, manage, and monitor training pathways and curricula that facilitate clinical and technical proficiency for internal device teammates. We are seeking an individual with robust expertise in coronary interventional procedures, devices and a solid background in intravascular ultrasound techniques.

Your role:

  • Collaborating with sales leadership and the Coronary (CV) marketing team to develop engaging and relevant learning content in alignment with strategic imperatives.
  • Incorporating adult learning strategies to ensure training materials meet target audience needs.
  • Innovating and evolving educational strategies to shorten the learning curve in the clinical and practical application of CV portfolio.
  • Supporting all programs with metrics and reporting out metrics of programs and proficiency.
  • Developing, designing, evolving & executing training programs for internal customers (new hires/sales reps). As well supporting Medical Education needs as they arise across the CV education inclusive of commercial events that feature training villages.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in the coronary device space and have a strong understanding of the disease state knowledge, preferably with a medical device company.
  • You’ve acquired one plus years’ experience of formal training of adult learning, and curriculum creation is a must.
  • You have a minimum B.S degree relevant to clinical or education.
  • Your skills include coronary interventional expertise from clinical experience or training/selling background, ability to develop robust and engaging curricula and work through AAR (After Action Review) to implement enhancements frequently. Ideally well educated in IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound) is preferred.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Clinical position.
  • Current experience in working with coronary devices, with a strong emphasis on clinical and technical expertise rather than selling skills and sales/product presentations.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $113,000-$181,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
