JOB SUMMARY
Train and assist the collections team members to ensure they understand and adhere to company policies, objectives, and goals. Coordinate daily activities and workflows of the team to optimize efficiency and performance. Manage an individual worklist within the 1-60-day collections department, balancing personal tasks with team leadership responsibilities. Act as a player/coach, providing hands-on support and guidance to team members while handling personal collections tasks. Report directly to the VP of Portfolio Management, ensuring that all service commitments are met, and company policies are followed. Be accountable for managing delinquency matters as assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Work closely with the AVP of Portfolio Management to assist in the development and refinement of team processes, procedures and goals. Uphold ethical practices throughout the department, maintaining the company’s reputation and regulatory standing. Serve as a steward for the company’s reputation, ensuring that all actions and decisions reflect positively on Orion. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and ethical standards of the collections team, while also contributing to the development of processes and goals that drive the department forward.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
 Responsible for production goals of all 1-60-day commercial collection staff, assist with training of newly onboarded trainees within the department. These include metrics such as actions, inbound calls, outbound calls, fee revenue, and contracts worked.
 Responsible for managing a portion of the 1-60-day collections team and overseeing the overall workflow of the team.
 Assist AVP Portfolio Management tracking progress reports for new team members at 30, 60, and 90 days since hire, and proficiency checkpoints of production measurements such as actions, inbound/outbound calls, and acknowledgement/application of training materials.
 Call review of collections team to ensure adherence to company policies and collection regulations are followed.
 Backup/Coverage of training duties should training designate be out of the office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Assists AVP and VP of Portfolio Management with company collection goals and objectives.
 Ensures adherence to client contract procedures, service levels and policies are maintained at the highest levels.
 Responsible for communicating account status to clients on activity related to collection comments entered into systems of record and regularly scheduled client meetings.
 Manages client communication, verbally and written associated with all collection accounts, and creates opportunities to expand collection services. 
 Responsible for training, retaining and recommending disciplinary action of the 1-60-day collection team.
 Responsible for seeing that effective collection, negotiation techniques, regulatory compliance and good judgment are carried out in the department.
 Responsible for ensuring team KPI’s are met while coaching/training those team members who are not meeting minimum KPI’s requirements.
 Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Minimum 10+ years comparable collection experience
 Considerable knowledge of the FDCPA, OFAC, ECOA, SCRA, VSA/AML, GLVA, & UDAAP.
 Understanding of commercial loan and equipment leases
 Strong Skip trace, negotiation, and relationship skills. Must be able to build relationships with clients, service providers, obligors, management team and direct reports.
 Ability to read and understand Credit Bureau report data
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Strong computer skills including excel.
 High School or GED required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Holds a CLFP designation
 Commercial Equipment Finance Collection experience
 Leadership training/skills
