About the Role  

At BenefitHub, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Marketing (B2C, B2B) 

to serve as a strategic, hands-on, second-in-command to the VP of Global Marketing. This pivotal leadership role stands at the exciting intersection of B2B and B2C marketing, where you'll help drive brand awareness, maximize content effectiveness, optimize lead generation, and ultimately establish BenefitHub as the essential first stop in every member's shopping journey. You'll contribute to sophisticated brand strategies that resonate with HR decision-makers while creating personalized experiences that drive platform adoption, account activation, and engagement among millions of employees. Key Responsibilities 

Brand Development and Marketing Excellence 

  • Partner with the VP of Global Marketing to develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that strengthen BenefitHub's market position and resonance  
  • Create and implement innovative marketing campaigns that drive audience acquisition, platform adoption, and user engagement while reducing churn 
  • Play a key role in establishing and maintaining brand voice guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications and member touchpoints  
  • Assist in providing creative direction for BenefitHub's brand identity across all marketing touchpoints, creating compelling materials and experiences that delight our members and drive results  
  • Develop consumer-focused marketing strategies and personalization initiatives that drive platform usage, enhance user experience, and increase lifetime value by fostering habitual usage and purchasing behavior  
  • Partner with the VP of Global Marketing, Product, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute Go-to-Market strategies for new products and features 
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights and behavior trends to identify growth and revenue optimization opportunities and refine positioning strategies 
  • Support the design and implement sophisticated B2B lead generation campaigns targeting HR professionals, including effective lead scoring, nurturing, and qualification processes 
  • Assist in the mentorship and development of a high-performing cross-functional marketing team 
  • Continuously foster a culture of creativity, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement  

Campaign, Creative and Content Development Excellence 

  • Oversee the creation of innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive platform adoption and engagement 
  • Develop sophisticated email campaigns and journeys that drive activation and long-term engagement  
  • Play a key role in developing best-in-class content marketing strategies and materials that educate, engage, and convert both B2B and B2C audiences 
  • Implement advanced segmentation strategies to deliver highly personalized experiences that delight members and deliver results  
  • Craft compelling, persuasive copy for key marketing materials and initiatives 
  • Orchestrate the creation of high-impact content across formats (blogs, whitepapers, videos, webinars) 
  • Implement rigorous testing protocols to continuously improve performance metrics  
  • Support email marketers in ensuring that email deliverability best practices are maintained across all campaigns 
  • Mentor team members on creative storytelling and effective marketing techniques 
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on marketing creative to continuously elevate quality and results across all efforts  

 

Performance Optimization and Cross-Functional Coordination 

  • Support the development of marketing analytics frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI, continuously identifying and implement strategies for improvement   
  • Support establishing of KPIs and dashboards that provide actionable insights for optimization 
  • Assist in optimizing the marketing technology stack, including ESPs, CDPs, and automation tools 
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with other departments (Product, Sales, Customer Success) 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance cross-team collaboration 
  • Support the elevation of all marketing initiatives by partnering effectively across the marketing organization 

 

What You’ll Need 

Experience: 

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with 2+ years in leadership roles 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field  
  • Proven track record driving growth in both B2B and B2C environments 
  • Experience developing and executing successful GTM strategies for new products and features 
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns 
  • Demonstrated success in driving account activation, long-term user engagement and loyalty 
  • Experience in digital marketing, content strategy, brand development, and demand generation 
  • Expertise with ESPs (email service providers) and email marketing campaign management 
  • Demonstrated success implementing and optimizing CDPs (consumer data platforms), including hands-on experience with Lytics, HubSpot, and similar marketing automation platforms  
  • Background in Retail, ecommerce, DTC, SaaS, or benefits platforms preferred 

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution and operational capabilities 
  • Strong creative direction skills with an eye for compelling design and messaging 
  • Strong copywriting abilities across various formats and channels 
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and compliance 
  • Expertise in creating effective email automation workflows and triggered campaigns 
  • Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies for email optimization 
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and performance measurement 
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing optimization and campaign performance analysis 
  • Proficiency with marketing technology stack integration and management 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics, and marketing technology 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities 
  • Understanding of HR, benefits, and employee engagement landscapes a plus
