We are seeking a detail-oriented and globally minded Academic Advisor to join our international team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in reviewing and evaluating international academic records, be comfortable supporting students across time zones, and be fluent in English and at least two other major world languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi, or Mandarin). This role plays a critical part in helping students understand credit transfers, course requirements, and academic planning to achieve a U.S. high school diploma.
Review and evaluate international transcripts for equivalency and credit transfer
Translate academic documents and communicate transcript decisions clearly
Advise students and families on academic plans, graduation requirements, and course selections
Maintain accurate student records and progress tracking
Communicate with recruitment partners, schools, and agencies as needed for transcript clarification
Collaborate with admissions and enrollment teams to ensure smooth student onboarding
Provide student support via email, video conferencing, and messaging apps (WhatsApp, Teams, etc.)
Maintain knowledge of global education systems and stay updated on international equivalencies.
Support international students with culturally sensitive guidance and clear communication
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Studies, Counseling, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience working in academic advising, international admissions, or transcript evaluation
TAICEP Certified (see below)
Strong understanding of international education systems and credential equivalencies
Multilingual – Fluent in English and at least two additional languages
Experience working remotely and across time zones
Familiarity with U.S. high school diploma requirements
Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple student caseloads
Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Teams, cloud-based platforms, and CRM or student information systems (Salesforce experience a plus)
Previous experience advising or enrolling international high school students
Certification in academic advising or credential evaluation (a plus, not required)
Familiarity with U.S. online learning environments and asynchronous education models

Our Client (an International School) is seeking a qualified Academic Advisor through Gabtech Global to support our growing international student body. Due to the specialized nature of this role, including evaluating and interpreting academic records from diverse education systems, candidates must receive standardized training in international credential evaluation prior to onboarding.
