Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team in handling personal liability cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Georgia’s legal system and demonstrated experience in personal injury, negligence, and liability law. This role involves preparing legal documents, conducting research, maintaining case files, and liaising with clients and courts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, investigation, and litigation support for personal liability claims.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Organize and maintain case files, documents, and evidence.
  • Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulatory matters specific to Georgia.
  • Prepare and coordinate discovery materials including interrogatories, requests for production, and deposition summaries.
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings with clients and experts.
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and court personnel.
  • Maintain compliance with deadlines and Georgia court procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with emphasis on personal liability or personal injury law.
  • Familiarity with Georgia state and federal court systems.
  • Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of Georgia’s civil procedure and tort laws.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
