Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Claims Advocate to join our team of Insurance Claims professionals. The Advocate will provide insurance claims consulting services to our clients and assist in resolving any coverage interpretation disputes.

Job Function & Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with high profile clients and account producers on transportation related claims situations.

  • Review policy language to determine coverage.

  • Initiate/submit claim report to appropriate insurance carrier.

  • Meet with clients to discuss reserve adequacy and proper claims handling of insurance carrier.

  • Provide and support clients with claims solutions specific to their business operations.

  • Interact with HUB Risk Services to assist clients in managing their potential exposures and risks associated with their specific operations.

  • Initiate/Coordinate and conduct Claim Review meetings with client, multiple insurance carriers &/or TPAs.

  • Assist account producers/account managers with marketing and sales of claims management services to prospective new accounts.

  • Communicate and strategize with insureds, carriers, TPAs, adjusters, attorneys’ etc. on claim resolution

  • Ability to read lawsuit petitions, leases and contracts for the purpose of determining proper handling of claim as well as liability and/or insurable interest, indemnification and hold harmless potential.

  • Maintain diary of files in HUB claims management system for follow-up and document all follow-ups in the database.

  • Create and maintain claim trending and loss analysis reports for Client Claim Review Meetings.

  • Navigate various carrier databases.

  • Review carrier coverage position letters and, as appropriate, create correspondence advocating coverage on behalf of HUB client.

  • Ability to present at RFPs, client presentations and Webinars.

  • Travel out of state if necessary.

  • Perform other specific duties as assigned

 Requirements:  

  • College degree preferred, but not required with 5+ years of relevant experience claims adjusting or a transportation-related role at an insurance carrier or brokerage

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

  • 2+ years of experience in handling claims (Physical Damage, Auto Liability, Cargo)

  • Experience with Epic is a plus
     

Qualifications

  • Well organized, self-motivated, willingness to learn, attention to detail and analytical

  • Adjusters &/or Brokers license

Preference:

  • CPCU/AIC/TRIP or related insurance courses

  • Transportation (Trucking) Claims Background

This fully remote position offers an annual salary of $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience. Applications will be accepted through June 12, 2025; however, the posting may close earlier depending on applicant volume.
