As an international cooperative development advisor, you help make decisions on initiatives and priorities associated with international cooperative development, sustainability, governance, and social responsibility rules related to the organization’s policies and democratic governance (including the administration of the board of directors and its sub-committees). You advise and assist clients and partners as part of activities related to governance, caisse network/Desjardins component associative and cooperative life, sustainability and the performance dialogue. You recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:
Diagnose issues, challenges and needs related to sustainability and associative, democratic and cooperative life to determine target outcomes
Develop and help implement goals, solutions and action plans
Support your unit, clients and partners
Analyze information, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
