Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$159,800 - $188,000

Job Summary

The Director of Agile Delivery is a leader who facilitates program-level processes and execution, drives continuous development, handles risks, and raises impediments. This person will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with and leading the Agile Delivery team and bring a passion for delivering innovative product enhancements, crafting engaging experiences, and delivering results.

Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Management and oversight of a team of Agile Delivery Managers. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives
  • Has overall responsibility for developing and administering project performance standards for the IT department
  • Assists in the development of an overall strategy to create and grow an organization that will provide leadership and direction to all employees involved with agile delivery
  • Assists in strategic planning and budget development activities, coordinating and aligning the commitments of supporting resource groups, and ensuring that project commitments and expectations are reflected in short- and long-term plans
  • Monitors stakeholder satisfaction, adherence to budget and contractual obligations and initiating action when necessary
  • Engages appropriate resources and gauge the progress of any number of ongoing projects
  • Engages resources both internal and external to Purple for successful delivery of project goals
  • Establishes and clearly communicates departmental strategy to management team, provide feedback regarding tactical operations for department including budgeting, goal setting, and managing performance; follows organization's policies and applicable legal requirements; determines and implements appropriate staffing and stakeholder interaction guidelines for work team(s); and monitors performance leading to successful results

Required Skills, Education, Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 8 years of experience (3+ years of Agile Delivery Experience preferred)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Required
  • Successful track record for working optimally across technology, business, and operational functions at an enterprise level
  • Mastery of communication skills and styles, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to effectively present information to internal and external associates
  • Strong emotional intelligence as part of leadership track record
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills desired
  • Proven ability to lead and organize multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment with broad impact
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach teams and be a leadership advisor to lower-level managers
  • Demonstrated ability to champion significant projects, programs, and business initiatives using creativity and ingenuity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team on developing lasting customer relationships (internal or external customers)
  • Good understanding of the organization's business operations and industry. Knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven manager of mid-sized cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis
