The Role
Reporting into the Partner Sales Area Director, we are seeking a talented individual to join the SUSE Ecosystem team as Regional Partner Sales Executive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Sales and the ambition to be successful by providing SUSE’s market leading, opensource solutions through our Partner Ecosystem. You will be part of a fast-growing and agile team, which touches both our internal sales teams and our partner sales teams in their pursuits for new opportunities.
The Regional Partner Sales Executive will focus on Sales of the SUSE portfolio via the SUSE Partner Ecosystem within a defined territory. The Regional Partner Sales Executive will be responsible for working in conjunction with the SUSE partner ecosystem and be responsible for both new and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Focus Areas
  • Take ownership for new and existing partner-based opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Responsible and accountable for the creation of his/her own pipeline
  • Create and execute account plans to drive revenue growth
  • Demonstrates experience & success in selling new business through partners and their respective initiatives projects at senior executive levels.
  • Understand SUSE's capabilities and positioning in the market and have a good understanding of related and/or competitive products and solutions
  • Demonstrate strong sales experience along with the ability to overcome objections.
  • Complete sales cycle management from opportunity creation to close of sale
  • Maintain and manage pipeline via Salesforce and have a strong understanding of the MEDDICC framework
  • Actively support SUSE's strategic indirect sales model.
  • Achieve all relevant SUSE product certifications and enablement 
  • Deep Market and Industry understanding in order to be able to correctly prioritize the correct prospect customers/industries/geos
Experience, Skills, Education, Knowledge
  • University degree in a business or technical related discipline
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Demonstrates experience & success in selling new business through partners and their respective initiatives/projects at senior executive level.
  • Experience with sales ‘hunting’
  • Self driven and capable to work independently in a remote environment
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience, preferably in IT sales, indirect selling via partners preferred.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure , Cloud Native Computing and Microservices 
  • Preferred Open Source Experience
  • negotiation skills and sales acumen
  • Experienced in selling in teams across organizational boundaries
  • Willingness to travel and have flexibility with working hours
