Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Generalist with a focus on administering our leave programs and supporting our team through employee relations conversations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that employees are well-informed about their benefits options and that all leave requests are handled efficiently and in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers and employees (i.e., coaching, counseling, training, mentoring, disciplinary actions)
  • Conducts investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and allegations of misconduct
  • Receive and respond to general HR questions and concerns from managers and employees
  • Attend, participate in, and maintain records related to employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Interact with employees to better understand workplace complaints, conduct appropriate investigations, and resolve disputes within situations that might have varying degrees of ambiguity, including excellent follow-through and documentation
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Be well-versed on HealthMark CRAFT values, performance and behavior expectations, and progressive disciplinary philosophy
  • Develop proficiency in HR tools and programs to be able to support employees and managers in day-to-day activities
  • Advise and train managers in best employee relations practices and strategies 
  • Maintain employee and workplace confidentiality 
  • Mediates conflicts between employees or between employees and management
  • Maintains and analyzes employee relations metrics and reports
  • Supports organizational change initiatives from an employee relations perspective
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in employee relations, directly and independently supporting managers across all levels with performance management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws surrounding termination procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency with HRIS software; experience with [ADP] is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex and unique employee situations.
