Remote Lead Clinical Support

Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Eastern Time

Pay Range:  $4.50 - $7.00 Hourly

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Remote Lead Clinical Support to oversee a high-performing remote team supporting our clinical operations. This role is critical in managing billing, coding, scribing, and documentation workflows, ensuring full compliance with U.S. healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in U.S. clinical support, strong leadership abilities, and exceptional communication skills across cross-functional and international teams.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a remote clinical support team, including medical billers, coders, scribes, and documentation specialists.

  • Ensure all clinical support activities align with U.S. healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CPT, ICD-10).

  • Conduct routine audits for documentation quality, billing accuracy, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with internal clinical and administrative teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

  • Manage schedules, workflows, and performance metrics to meet operational KPIs.

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for documentation, coding, or billing issues.

  • Support onboarding, training, and professional development for new team members.

  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinical support functions.

Job Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in clinical support operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare providers in a remote environment.

  • Proven knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems, workflows, and regulations.

  • Familiarity with EHR platforms such as Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Epic.

Skills:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA, CPT, ICD-10, and U.S. healthcare compliance standards.

  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead, coach, and manage a diverse remote team across time zones.

  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to resolving issues and improving systems.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Systems Proficiency: Comfortable with clinical and financial systems, EHRs, and documentation tools.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling sensitive data and clinical documentation.

  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, remote work environment with competing priorities.

  • Integrity: Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in all communications and data handling.

Schedule Requirements:

  • Ability to work shifts during Eastern Time, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.


Technical Requirements:

  • Reliable wired internet connection (100 Mbps minimum).

  • Computer/laptop with Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM minimum, and 128GB free storage.

  • Dual-screen setup preferred for enhanced productivity.

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or macOS (latest version).

  • Clear webcam (720p or higher) and microphone for communication.

  • Backup systems for electricity and internet outages.
