Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including time and attendance, running the full payroll cycle, processing garnishments and wage orders, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in ADP Workforce software and have a deep understanding of payroll regulations in California, Minnesota, Georgia, and Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process the full payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution.
  • Oversee time and attendance tracking, including the review and approval of timesheets and PTO requests.
  • Process garnishments, wage orders, and other payroll deductions in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, including state-specific regulations for California, Minnesota, Georgia, and Florida.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate employee data within ADP Workforce software.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required by management and government agencies.
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, and deductions.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Handle year-end reporting duties, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce software is required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws, especially in California, Minnesota, Georgia, and Florida.
  • Experience processing garnishments, wage orders, and other payroll deductions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
