Key responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and medical support for Medical Affairs activities in the CIS region and potentially other markets.
  • Act as a central contact for scientific inquiries and develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Support the local Commercial team with medical expertise for sales, marketing, and training initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and participate in scientific meetings to present clinical evidence to medical professionals.

Job Purpose Summary

We are seeking to join our team a Medical Science Liaison with an entrepreneurial spirit who excels in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

This position will focus on our Hemostat product line and will support our partners in the CIS region and potentially other markets in Asia or the Middle East. This expert role will focus on knowledge sharing and building, KOL relationship development and detect untapped opportunities to develop strategies to address them.

What You Will Do

  • Provide scientific and medical support and leadership for Medical Affairs activities of the above-mentioned regions.
  • Act as a central contact for scientific and medical product inquiries in the areas of Medical Information (MI) and pharmacovigilance recipient.
  • Act as an expert on the company's key products and contribute to the strategy, tactics, and materials for those products in liaison with the global Medical Affair team.
  • Work closely with the local Commercial team and partners, providing scientific and medical support for sales, marketing, training in the above-mentioned territory. Support the implementation of the local strategy directly and through local partners.
  • You will be part of the global medical affairs team, and you will give input to global medical topics/projects.
  • Provide high quality medical expertise and strategic support to the commercial functions and other functions within the company organization.
  • In cooperation with the marketing team, support the local organization concerning medical matters and participate in scientific meetings in the region.
  • Follow and analyze the surgical market regarding medical and scientific trends, competitors’ activities, and customer needs.
  • Act as the medical liaison for medical societies, government agencies, ministries of health and advocacy groups.
  • Participate at scientific meetings with active role in presenting key clinical evidence to medical professionals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Act as central contact and relationship development with KOLs; including but not limited to surgeons.
  • Provide input to the local brand strategies and go to market from a medical perspective.
  • Review, adapt and approve promotional and other materials (e.g., official education material) for scientific content according to local codes.
  • Provide medical input to the production of key promotional material for new or existing products, reviews and provides medical approval for all promotional material for the region.
  • Be responsible for the preparation and/or review of scientific product presentations to be used in customer meetings both by you and the commercial team.
  • Train commercial teams on products, h uman anatomy and surgical procedures.
  • Support the creation of clinical summaries including critical assessments, training materials and oversight medical information activities.
  • Handle issues related to promotional activities.

What You Will Need

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Business fluent in both English and Russian.
  • Medical surgeon preferably but alternatively Medical Doctor or PhD level education.
  • Previous experience in an MSL/Medical Affairs role in a pharmaceutical company.
  • Knowledge of anatomy
  • Experience of operating theatre processes and surgical procedures where hemostat s are used and particularly, but not only, in Hepato-pancreatic biliary and Neurosurgery.
  • Previous experience in pharma products and medical devices used in surgery is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in General Surgery and Haemostasis.
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 70% of the time.
