Weβre looking for DataBrick Engineers for our US-based client. The client supports companies in their cloud transformation journeys using the Databricks platform. Projects are diverse in industry and scope, covering areas such as cloud migration, data ingestion, and optimizing Databricks-based solutions.
Theyβre looking to build long-term relationships with engineers. Although project durations vary, there is a continuous need for new projects, allowing specialists to seamlessly move from one topic to the next. Currently, they are also expanding teams working with Yellowbrick.
The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS), has solid knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark, and is comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
The projects are for US-based clients, but the required overlap is minimal (e.g., 10:00β18:00 CET), and weβre flexible on working hours.
Responsibilities:
π Ensuring secure data storage
π Processing and indexing data
π Data validation, building processing pipelines, and sharing data cohorts
π Planning and executing database migrations
π Close collaboration with cross-functional teams (data engineers, scientists, PMs, support teams)
Requirements:
β‘οΈ 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
β‘οΈ Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
β‘οΈ Excellent knowledge of Python
β‘οΈ Experience with Yellowbrick
β‘οΈ Solid experience in Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, Data Lake) and/or AWS
β‘οΈ Strong communication and teamwork skills
β‘οΈ Proactivity and independence
β‘οΈ Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
β‘οΈ Experience running ML-related projects
β‘οΈ Background in designing and optimizing data flows using DBT, SSIS, TimeXtender or similar (ETL/ELT tools)
β‘οΈ Familiarity with any big data or NoSQL platforms (Redshift, Hadoop, EMR, Google Data, etc.)
