The role:

As an Antivirus Engineer, you will support all operational aspects of Antivirus including deploying definition files and creating customized dashboards for threats attacks and infections as well as mitigation reporting. Be informed about threat and ransomware protection, and internet security.

The successful candidate will have a deep technical knowledge of Antivirus, policies, and threat protection. In supporting and maintaining Antivirus solutions such as TrendMicro.

Key responsibilities and authority

Core duties, tasks, and responsibilities expected in the role. This includes the breadth and depth of the responsibilities to assess the level of complexity and impact. What decisions may the job holder make without first seeking approval from higher manager/supervisor? Does the role have signatory rights?

• Administration and maintenance of Endpoints Antivirus and Security appliances and AV infrastructure.
• Responsible for assisting server administrators in installing and maintaining Antivirus agents on Windows platforms.
• Troubleshoot Antivirus agent-related incidents.
• Responsible for monitoring and tuning alerts related AV console.
• Ensures the company meets all security standards for internal and external audits.
• Create, collaborate, and publish internal documentation regarding surrounding Antivirus and security standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations Team to create the security standards and procedures.
• Interfaces with the user community to understand security needs and implement procedures to accommodate them.
• Ensures that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
• Perform gap analysis and remediation steps for compliance. .
• Execute delivery of software through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager/Intune.
• Working alongside with patching team on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager/Intune.

Key requirements

Outline the essential competencies and characteristics that candidates must demonstrate to contribute to our diverse, inclusive culture and succeed in the role. These may include:

• Experience with Antivirus, Extended Detection and Response, Application Whitelisting, Privilege Management, Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune
• Knowledge of security technologies (encryption, endpoint tools, design, privilege management, etc).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Data analytics skills via Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
• Strong problem-solving and endpoint troubleshooting skills.
• General understanding of regulatory GDPR and PCI DSS.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.
• General Powershell and Command Line abilities will be nice to have.

Education/ Qualifications

Identify the essential qualifications, education, and certifications necessary for success in the role.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT
• Previous experience in a multinational and regulated environment is a plus.
• Strong Communication Skills both written and verbal.
• General understanding of Information Security policies, controls, and processes.

• Maintain endpoint Antivirus Client up do date.
• Upgrade Antivirus Clients
• 2nd level escalation on Antivirus related request and incident tickets
• Elaborate and maintain Antivirus related documentation.

Travel Requirements

Percentage of working time involving travel, and travel destinations

Example: Position may involve travel within the region. Most trips will include overnight travel.
