Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Data Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the bank's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility.
• Analytics and Insights: Lead data analytics initiatives to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT to integrate data management tools and technologies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, data strategy, or a related role within the banking or financial services industry.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Understanding of data warehouse design principles.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of data governance and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in data management tools and technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data quality testing and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Background in Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications in banking.
• Certification in data management or related fields.
