Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The SAP Archiving Global Process Specialist is part of IT / ERP SAP team with the key responsibility to implement Data Arching processes and tools across the Axalta SAP Landscapes and business functions.

The SAP Archiving Global Process Specialist must ensure, that Axalta’s SAP R/3 and S4 HANA FIN Archiving processes are globally consistent, productive, effective, and legally compliant. This role is a member of the ERP SAP IT Team and will also participate in the SAP ERP support organization tasks and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading / participating in SAP data archiving related design workshops
  • Gathering, and understanding the business requirements, mapping those requirements to business process and technical solutions
  • Identifying and rationalizing disparate requirements and gaps
  • Designing, creating, testing & documenting the configuration of SAP Data archiving modules / tools in support global business requirements.
  • Determining and communicating to the process and technical teams, the capabilities, and limitations of the SAP Data archiving solution set.
  • Implementing business defined archiving policies, including data retention periods and scope of archived data in collaboration with functional business owners.
  • Supporting and providing insights about the nature and implementation of Data Archiving and ILM applications to all related business and technical teams.
  • Provide support and expertise for financial audits using SAP Data Retention (DART) and other tools.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ Years of relevant SAP Archiving experience and expertise skill set
  • Experience with SAP DART, DART audit data retrieval, DART Extracts/Views.
  • 4+ years of leading / managing an SAP Archiving function and / or team
  • Involvement on 3 or more relevant SAP Implementations desirable
  • Broad based experience in supporting medium-to-large-scale SAP ERP systems and processes.
  • Comprehensive experience with archiving for SAP Modules like FI, CO, MM, WM, SD etc.
  • Extensive experience with Archive Development Kit (ADK), SARA, SARI, AIS tools to perform the archiving/deletion of historical and redundant data.
  • Experience with deletion reports for technical / functional data.
  • Extensive skills and experience with Document Archiving, Document management system etc.
  • Experience with Data Cleansing, Data Summarization, Data Avoidance, Data Migration solutions with respect to HANA migration projects.
  • Experience providing recommendations for data and document regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong experience in implementing SAP Archiving such as ILM, Data archiving, DART, OpenText (IXOS) and legacy systems decommissioning scenarios.
  • Experience in leading/conducting workshops with stakeholders for data archiving, deletion approaches.
  • Work closely with project managers to deliver projects on time and budget.
  • Drive the preparation of a clear & detailed timetable with pre-defined tasks specific to Data archiving Process.
  • Ability to define systems requirements, strategize, design, and prototype the SAP Archiving solution for Axalta business

OTHER INFORMATION:  Role may require 10% domestic and international travel, related to projects.
