Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours/week minimum Monday to Friday during client business hours 9am to 6pm California time

Client Timezone: Pacific Time (PST/PDT)

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the EDI integration and management for a growing brand entering partnerships with major national pet retailers. You’ll be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the technical foundation for multi-channel retail success. Working with a remote-first team that values autonomy and excellence, you’ll manage critical data interchange processes that directly impact the company’s expansion into major retail channels. This role combines technical expertise with business impact, allowing you to shape the company’s retail integration strategy while working with a dynamic, passionate team.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the implementation and management of SPS Commerce EDI integration for multiple major retail partners
  • Establish and validate test document workflows for inventory and order processing
  • Ensure precise and timely document exchanges to maintain retail compliance standards
  • Monitor and optimize order processing workflows across multiple retail channels
  • Coordinate with retail partners during integration testing and ongoing operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues to prevent chargebacks
  • Support potential Shopify integration initiatives for streamlined order management
  • Maintain accurate inventory synchronization across all platforms


Requirements

  • Previous experience with EDI systems, particularly SPS Commerce
  • Proven track record managing retail EDI documentation and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and order processing workflows
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and professional home office setup
  • Ability to work minimum 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling
  • Experience with Shopify integration is a plus
