We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to support a Canadian tax and accounting firm. This is a remote, long-term opportunity designed for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can operate independently and deliver consistent, high-quality results. You’ll provide crucial support during Canada’s peak tax season and maintain support throughout the year.
As Senior Accountant, you will provide excellence by:
Prepare and review Canadian personal and corporate tax returns
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with in-house and offshore team members to meet tight deadlines
Identify issues and discrepancies in financial records; proactively resolve them
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax regulations
Communicate regularly with client stakeholders and respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner
Do you have what it takes to be our Senior Accountant?
Consider yourself highly qualified if you have:
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including tax filing and bookkeeping
Strong understanding of Canadian tax compliance (T1s, T2s, GST/HST returns)
Previous experience working with Canadian firms is strongly preferred
Proficient in accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, CaseWare, TaxCycle or similar)
Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively in a remote setting
Capable of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision
Must be presently residing in the Philippines.
