Job description

Orb is seeking a seasoned DevOps engineer to join our team! As a critical member of our core engineering team, you will partner with several other brilliant minds to bring innovative architecture and design solutions to some of the most challenging problems facing our customer base. Your background most likely includes expertise in deploying enterprise cloud applications. You enjoy challenging existing models with new ideas but understand that success and failure are always property of the team.

You are passionate about all things operations and know how to drive automation and excellence into every aspect of building, deploying, running, and scaling our products and services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Be involved in real-time assessment of system engineering issues and drive solutions
Create tools and solutions to manage and monitor our rapidly growing infrastructure and operations, using those tools to detect issues before they impact operations
Build and design tools/processes that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies in software development and operations
Maintain existing and implement new infrastructure and code to ensure our systems are running
Be instrumental in migrating services from a Docker based infrastructure to Kubernetes running in AWS EKS
Participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation for response to critical infrastructure issues

WHAT YOU NEED

5+ years of experience in a blend of software engineering and system administration
Experience with automated testing, performance, build, monitoring and code quality tools
Experience with Git distributed software version control
Experience with Linux & shell scripting
Experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
Experience with one or more IaaS and PaaS providers (AWS preferred)
Ability to identify problems and effectively communicate solutions to peers and management
Development experience in one or more of Python, Java, Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Perl
Experience with Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
Experience with Infrastructure Automation (Chef, Puppet, etc.)
Experience with a variety of Amazon Web Services product offerings
Experience in Docker, containerization, Kubernetes & Helm

Compensation: 4,165-6,250 EUR Monthly
